How to Use Structured Controls

Edited

With iOS 18, Apple has enabled users to customize their Control Center to perform quick actions. Now it is even easier to manage your Structured tasks by using one of our Structured Controls. For example, you can quickly add an inbox task by tapping the respective Structured Control.

Please note that this feature is not available for 🤖 Android or Structured Web.

How to Add A Structured Control

You can access your Control Center by sliding down from the top-right of your screen. Now, you will see your Control Center, which can be customized depending on your preferences.

To add Structured Controls

  1. Go into the editing mode of the Control Center by either tapping the large plus symbol in the top-left corner or long-press an empty space on the screen.

  2. Once you are in the editing mode, tap on + Add a Control at the bottom of the screen.

  3. Now you can search for Structured and add your preferred Structured Controls.

How to Use Structured Controls

To use the Structured Controls, you can simply tap them when accessing your Control Center. After tapping them, they will act in their respective behavior as described below.

Currently, there are 7 types of Structured Controls:

  1. Enable Focus Mode (only available for currently running tasks).

  2. Add a timeline task.

  3. Add an inbox task.

  4. Add a recurring task.

  5. Open Structured AI using text input.

  6. Open Structured AI using scan or photo upload.

  7. Open Structured AI using voice input.

Limitations

Please note that this feature requires at least iOS 18 and Structured 3.7.0. Moreover, some of the Structured Controls (e.g. enabling the Structured AI or creating recurring tasks) require Structured Pro.
