Can I Reschedule Unfinished Tasks?
Sometimes your plans change, or you simply have too many tasks to complete in one day. In these cases, it is helpful to reschedule the tasks so as not to lose sight of them.
Currently, on Apple devices, there are three options in Structured to reschedule your unfinished or incomplete tasks. You can either use the Structured AI, drag and drop or a task Shortcut.
Reschedule Tasks Using Structured AI
The easiest solution to reschedule unfinished tasks, is using the ✨ Structured AI. Simply tell the Structured AI to reschedule today’s unfinished tasks to tomorrow, another date or to your inbox. The Structured AI will filter out all unfinished tasks and present you with the requested adjustments. Just add them to your schedule, and you’re back on track.
Example prompt:
"Push all unfinished tasks into tomorrow's schedule, except for the buying presents task. Push this one into my inbox."
You can learn more about how to use the Structured AI here. Please note, that the Structured AI requires ⭐️ Structured Pro and is not available yet for Android and Structured Web.
Reschedule Tasks Using Drag and Drop
Drag and drop is a simple feature to reschedule single tasks. You can either drag and drop it to a different time, or drag the task back into your inbox to reschedule it as soon as you know when to reschedule it. You can also drag the task to the upcoming days to make it rollover to another day.
To use drag and drop, simply tap the respective unfinished task to drag and drop it somewhere else in your timeline or in your inbox. You can learn more about the different drag and drop features here.
Currently, drag and drop is only available on Apple devices but will come to Android devices and Structured Web soon. For more information on features that we are working on right now, check out the Structured Roadmap.
Reschedule Tasks Using a Task Shortcut
On Apple devices, tasks can also be rescheduled using the Apple Shortcuts app. For example, you can run an automation pulling all unfinished tasks from today and pushing them into your inbox.
You can learn more about rescheduling tasks using the Apple Shortcuts app here: How to Use Structured With Shortcuts. You find and download the respective Shortcut to reschedule unfinished tasks here.
