If you work abroad, have friends who live in another country, or travel a lot, there might be some events in your life that take place in different time zones. In Structured you can set your tasks to any time zone regardless of where you are, so that on top of your time, they also display the time of a different location.

Floating time zone

By default, a task created in Structured is set to floating time zone, meaning that the set time adjusts to the time zone you are currently in. When you set a task for 7 AM, it will always be displayed at 7 AM, regardless of what time zone you might travel to.

Set a task in a different time zone

You can also set a task to a time zone that differs from the one in your current location. This can be helpful if you are, for example, planning a video call with someone in another country.

To set a task in a different time zone, simply use theĀ Moreā€¦Ā button in the time selection area when you are creating a task, then selectĀ Set Timezone.Ā Here, you can search for a city or time zone you want your tasks to be set in.

After selecting a time zone and creating the task, it will be displayed in your timeline at the time it is going to take place in your time zone. By tapping the task, you can see the time you have selected for it in the other time zone.

Imported tasks

Tasks that you imported from your calendar app are often set in a fixed time zone instead of the floating time zone. You can change this by adapting the settings of your calendar app.

For more information on imported tasks, see:Ā How to import a calendar into Structured.
