I Cannot Edit or Delete Tasks
Occasionally, it happens that you cannot edit or delete your recurring tasks. This issue can affect different types of tasks.
Device Up to Date?
Please ensure whether your Structured app and operating system on all of your devices are up to date, as this often causes a lot of trouble. You could also try to restart your device or reinstall Structured.
Cannot Edit "Rise and Shine" and "Wind Down" Tasks
Sometimes it happens that you cannot edit or delete your preset “Rise and Shine” and “Wind Down” tasks. It may also happen that they duplicate themselves. Usually, this can be resolved easily by restoring a backup.
Tasks Duplicate When Tapping Them
If the “Rise and Shine” and “Wind Down” tasks duplicate themselves every time you tap them, you can try the following:
Please try to restore an older backup and check if the issue persists. Automatic backups should be made regularly as long as iCloud Drive is enabled. To restore an older backup:
Open your ⚙️ Structured Settings.
Tap Advanced in the General section.
Head over to Backups and tap an older backup to restore it.
If you don't have any backups to restore because you are a new user, you can reset Structured. However, this will delete all of your data entered in Structured. To reset your Structured app:
Open your ⚙️ Structured Settings.
Tap Advanced in the General section.
Select Reset App.
Tasks Duplicate Themselves Without Tapping Them
Sometimes, when enabling Structured Cloud sync, the “Rise and Shine” and “Wind Down” tasks duplicate themselves endlessly without tapping them. This can be resolved by resetting the app. To do so:
Open your ⚙️ Structured Settings.
Tap Advanced in the General section.
Head over to Backups and select Backup now.
Next, head back to the Advanced settings.
Here you'll find the option to Reset the App. Please note that this will delete all of your data entered in Structured.
Afterward, restore the backup created before resetting the app by going into your ⚙️ Structured Settings and tapping on Advanced in the General section.
Head over to Backups and tap the respective backup to restore it.
Error Message for Tasks Created with Structured AI
In rare cases, some users receive the following error message when trying to edit a task created with Structured AI: "Unexpected error. The operation couldn't be completed. (StructuredDB.DB.SavingError error O.)"
In this case, you should try to reset the app:
Open your ⚙️ Structured Settings.
Tap Advanced in the General section.
Head over to Backups and select Backup now.
Next, head back to the Advanced settings.
Here you'll find the option to Reset the App. Please note that this will delete all of your data entered in Structured.
Afterward, restore the backup created before resetting the app by going into your ⚙️ Structured Settings and tapping on Advanced in the General section.
