Android Developer (Working Student/Freelancer)

Structured has been download over 2.5 Million times from the Apple App Store, but until now, I (Leo 👋) have been working on it by myself.

I’m now looking for people to help me bring Structured to the next level and expand it to different platforms.

Join an indie developer bringing the #1 day planner app from iOS to Android 🤖

Structured has always been an iOS exclusive app, but since I want everyone to benefit from the app, I’m planning to bring it to Android.

You’d start developing the Android app from scratch using new technologies (nothing is decided yet). The current plan is, to get out a limited MVP as soon as possible, to get early feedback from users. Here you can help decide what the scope of the 1.0 will be and how to best adapt the iOS app to feel right at home on Android (I don’t just want an iOS clone)

Who I’m looking for

  • you have experience developing a modern Android app (please sent links to them).
  • you have care for good design. You won't have to design the app, but should have an eye for the little details.
  • you are flexible and can also work on your own. We won’t have check in meetings every morning.
  • you don’t need a degree or formal education, I’d much rather see something you’ve worked on.
  • you are a student or freelancer

What you’ll get

  • Have an impact working on a real app people will use
  • Experience the journey from a one-person team to a small company
  • Fair compensation with real money and not stock options
  • Flexible hours and remote work (also while traveling, if you want)
  • Benefits I don’t yet know about (just tell me)

What you won’t get

  • An experienced mentor or manager (we’ll learn together)
  • An office, but we can talk about co-working spaces
  • The security of a large company or the hyper-growth of a VC startup
  • a large legacy codebase you’ll have to work through 😉

How to apply

If this sounds like something for you, please reach out to me via jobs@structured.app. I don’t need a formal CV, but am instead interested in anything you’ve worked.

Also, feel free to ask any questions you have!

Looking forward to hearing from you 📮
